A Thousand Words

The Seattle Times ran this picture today -- the kind of picture we should by all rights be seeing much more of, but aren't seeing because the administration has "moved mountains" to ensure that the true costs of war aren't seen here.

I'm curious. Why is it that when 7 astronaughts die in a tragic accident, we fly the flag at half-mast. Yet, when America's soldiers are killed almost daily in a time of war, the flag is not flown at half-mast? I will fly mine at half-mast until it stops.

In Spain, we have banned out our president, and our new president has started taking our troops back home from iraq. Madrid bomb has something to do with that, but mis- and counter-information has something to do with that, also. Government began lying when an oil tanker sunk near our coast, continued lying when we stroke against war (government tv was comdemned for that), and now, after the bomb, everybody thought government had something to hide. Hiding and telling lies is a good way out of presidential chair.

Anthony - very intense photo - and certainly one that Americans deserve to be seeing - every pm unfortunately -Stay the Course
