Best Buy Receipt Check

A great story from die.net about that irritating little policy big-box electronics retailers have of stopping you to check your receipt when you leave the store.

Turns out, they have no right to do so.

Of course, very few people would challenge this policy, even if they knew they could because we've been so very well trained to tolerate such crap in the name of "convenience" and "not making a scene."

Same thing with commercials before movies you paid $10 for, and when video stores would charge you if you didn't rewind their tapes.

I say make a scene. Screw the bastards.
